A ‘head transplant’ is an experimental surgical procedure involving the transplantation of the head of one organism onto another’s body. The recipient’s head may or may not be removed.      According to many, head transplantation is extraordinary & an impossible surgical procedure mostly thought to be fictitious. However, recent advances such as i) Ultra sharp neurological blades ii) Fusogens iii) Electrostimulation suggest that the first head transplantation may be feasible. We find references to the procedure in mythology in the stories of Lord Ganesh (The Elephant Headed God).   By Samik Mukhopadhyay প্রতিদিনের মতন স্কুলে আবার ক্লাস বসেছে প্রতাপস্যারের। সৃজন, মধুমিতা, তুষার, নুসরাত, অরিজিৎ -- ক্লাসে আছে সবাই। এখন চলছে পরমাণুর গঠন আর মোলের ধারণা। স্যার সবটাই গল্পচ্ছলে খুব সুন্দরভাবে বোঝান। সবাই তাই খুব পছন্দ করে ওঁর ক্লাস। আজকেও সবাই বেশ মন দিয়ে শুনছে ক্লাসে।  হঠাৎ প্রতাপস্যার প্রশ্ন করলেন, "দেখি তোরা কে কতটা শুনেছিস ? বল তো অ্যাভোগাড্রো সংখ্যার মান কত ?" একসাথে সবকটা হাত উঠে গেল।  স্যার বললেন, "তুষার তুই বল দেখি।" তুষার একদম ঝটপট বলে ফেললো, "6.023 × 10^23".  নুসরাত সাথে সাথে হাত তুলে বললো, "না। ওটা পুরোনো হিসেব অনুযায়ী। বর্তমানে 6.022 × 10^23 কে হিসেব করে চলা হয়।" কিন্তু তুষার একটু মনক্ষুণ্ণ হলো। মুখ গোমড়া করে তার অভিযোগ, "কিন্তু স্যার দশমিকের পরে তৃতীয় ঘরে ওইটুকু পার্থক্যে কী এসে যায় ?
